The road to a Color Run

 

Swift Water Elementary VPO is excited to announce the return of our Moving for Success Fundraiser!

Starting Friday, May 8th and running through Friday, May 29th, if we can raise $10,000, we will celebrate with a COLOR RUN!!

Schoolwide Goal:

  • $10,000 Raised: we will celebrate with a COLOR RUN!!
  • $12,000 or more raised: some of our amazing teachers and staff will race around the track in Inflatable Costumes!!

Individual Prizes:

  • Registration: Scan the QR code above to register your student and they will receive a customized water bottle sticker and temporary tattoo.
  • Get Moving: If you move for more than 300 minutes you get a colorful wristband.
  • For Everyone: Every student, regardless of how much money is raised, will receive a pair of colorful sunglasses to wear on COLOR RUN day.

Classroom Prizes

  • For the class who raises the most money in grades K-2: Ice Cream Party
  • For the class who raises the most money in grades 3-5: Ice Cream Party

Here are the Color Run details:

🗓️: Friday, June 12th

📍: Swift Water Elementary Track and Field
👕: Students wear white shirts, teachers wear inflatable costumes, volunteers come as you are.

How will we use the money we raise??
10% of all funds raised will go to our rising 5th grade students to help pay for camp next year. The remaining funds will be used to support the Garden, Trail, a new art installation, field trip costs, and the Scholarship Fund.

FAQ’S:

How do I get started? Scan the QR code above to sign up on the ggPledges
website. You will need to create a page for your child. Share your personal page
via Facebook, email, or text with family and friends to start collecting donations.

How do the donations work? There are two ways supporters can donate. 1. A
general donation pledging their support. 2. A donation for how many minutes the
student is active during the fundraiser.

When will the Color Run take place? If we raise $10,000 or more, the Color Run will take place on Friday, June 12th during school hours.

What if my student is unable to raise any money? Every student can participate in the Color Run regardless of how much money they raise.

Thanks to the incredible efforts of our students, families, and community, we officially reached our STRETCH fundraising goal of $12,000 — raising more than $14,000!

This success was all part of our Moving for a Cause event, and your hard work and generosity have earned the students a well-deserved Color Run celebration on Friday, May 23rd during school hours. And yes — because we hit that stretch goal, our amazing teachers will be participating in the run dressed in hilarious inflatable costumes!
